TN: Quick note to help those who may be like me and don’t really read wuxia. 江湖 =Jiāng hú, rivers and lakes. This applies to this world arc.
The Jianghu is a shared world and an alternate universe. It consists of several martial artists and pugilists gathered in the Wulin (武林), who are usually congregated in sects, clans, disciplines and various schools of martial arts.
A common aspect of the Jianghu is the tacit suggestion that the courts of law are dysfunctional. All disputes and differences can only be resolved by use of force, as such, predicating the need for the Code of Xia and acts of chivalry. Law and order within the Jianghu is maintained by the various “orthodox” and “righteous” sects and heroes. Sometimes, these sects may gather to form an alliance against all evils within the Jianghu.
Outside the world
If the vast sea of the universe is regarded as an unfathomable and endless ocean, then the heavens and worlds scattered in it are undulating islands in floating bubbles, the “sea water” that separates the heavens and worlds, is the boundless void.
Suddenly, the void rippled. Within a “world bubble”, a spot of light suddenly bursts out of the world’s membrane and into the void.
Indeed it is the system’s light sphere.
In the depths of the void, from an infinite distance, as if something was sensed, a ray of light suddenly pierced towards this location.
