Han Cheng silently tightened his grip on the menu and averted his gaze. “Teacher Shen is truly confident.”

It was the first time Shen Qingshu had heard him address him this way, and it was quite novel.

He smiled, poured himself a cup of tea, and said gently, “Why else would director Han have said, ‘If this makes you happy, I can treat you to dinner every day?'”

Han Cheng: …

Han Cheng argued, “Teacher Shen helped me save 99 million. Shouldn’t I show some appreciation?”

“Is that so?” Shen Qingshu didn’t argue. “Then it seems I misunderstood. Director Han doesn’t like me.”

Han Cheng, who really liked him: …

“I’m so sad. I thought director Han said that because he liked me, but I didn’t expect it was just a token of gratitude.”

“Director Han,” Shen Qingshu looked at him, his face pure and innocent. “With your status and appearance, it’s best to refrain from such remarks. It’s fine if I misunderstand, but if others misunderstand, they’d inevitably accuse you of being a playboy and toying with their feelings. If love turns to hate, it would be bad for your reputation.”

Han Cheng, upon hearing him say this, thought of his reputation in his dreams, the reputation of a playboy. Someone who clearly hadn’t even had a first love, yet was being spun as a playboy!

“I wouldn’t say that to anyone,” he retorted subconsciously.

“Ah,” Shen Qingshu feigned surprise and looked at him with confusion. “But director Han told me you don’t like me, and yet you specifically said that to me. Director Han, your mind is truly unpredictable.”

Han Cheng: …

Han Cheng felt he shouldn’t have said that!

Now he’s trapped. Shen Qingshu must have seen that he’s into him, so he deliberately said that.

He sighed helplessly and confessed, “Okay, I do have a crush on you.”

“Isn’t it just me being overconfident?”

Han Cheng: …

Shen Qingshu smiled, thinking it was revealed so quickly, even faster than he’d imagined.

How delightful!

“Then I’d like to thank you, director Han, for your affection.”

Han Cheng: …Did I want to hear you say thank you? Shouldn’t you say you like me, too?!

He looked up at Shen Qingshu, who was calmly sipping his tea. Seeing him looking over, he politely asked, “Would you like some tea, director Han?”

Han Cheng: …Did he want tea? He wanted an answer! To hear I like you too!

“Don’t you think you should say something right now?”

Shen Qingshu thought for a moment, then, as if finally remembering something, he nodded and said, “Oh.”

Han Cheng couldn’t help but feel a surge of anticipation, awaiting his response. Then he heard Shen Qingshu gently ask him, “Director Han, have you made up your mind? If you have, we can order. I really should call the server over now.”

Han Cheng: …

Han Cheng closed the menu in anger. “I’ve made my choice!”

I’ve already made my choice! Humph!

Shen Qingshu ignored his emotions, pressed the bell, summoned the server, and told her the types of barbecue they wanted.

Han Cheng and Shen Qingshu, one angry and one delighted, enjoyed a barbecue together. Han Cheng was furious that Shen Qingshu pretended to be clueless and refused to give him an answer, but he was delighted that Shen Qingshu was just as he remembered him: beautiful and likable.

After dinner, Han Cheng paid the bill and left the barbecue restaurant with Shen Qingshu.

“Let me take you home,” Han Cheng offered.

Shen Qingshu laughed at his words. “Director Han, are you going to be my driver?”

Hearing the word “driver” brought back fond memories for Han Cheng, who also smiled and replied, “Yes, if you’re willing, I can be your driver every day.”

He paused, then deliberately added, “In every sense of the word.”

Shen Qingshu’s eyes curved into crescents as he lowered his head with laughter. He even knew the whole driver thing; this was definitely his Han Cheng.

He hadn’t expected him to even remember the driver part.

“Then I’ll think about it,” Shen Qingshu said with a smile. “After all, I can’t afford a driver as expensive as dirctor Han.”

“It’s free.” Han Cheng looked at him, his tone filled with the indulgence Shen Qingshu knew so well. “Come on, get in, young master.”

Shen Qingshu happily followed him to the car, opened the passenger seat, and got in. Han Cheng then took the driver’s seat, asked for his address, and drove back.

Shen Qingshu opened the car window, feeling the night breeze brush past his ears. He looked up at the starry sky. There were so few stars, almost invisible, but the person who had watched them with him was back.

He was actually still in this world. Shen Qingshu felt incredibly lucky and overjoyed.

The journey was relatively smooth as they arrived at the entrance of the residential complex. Shen Qingshu unbuckled his seatbelt and said to Han Cheng, “Thank you, director Han. I’m leaving now.”

“Hey…” Han Cheng couldn’t help but call out to him. “Um, why don’t we add each other on WeChat?”

Only then did Shen Qingshu remember that they hadn’t added each other yet.

He was completely immersed in the joy of reuniting with Han Cheng, indulging in happiness and forgetting even such an important matter, obviously the excitement has indeed occupied all his thoughts.

Shen Qingshu quickly took out his phone and asked him to scan his WeChat QR code. He then sent him his number. “My number.”

Han Cheng was surprised and sent him his number as well.

“This is my phone number.”

“Okay.”

Shen Qingshu smiled as he looked at his young, familiar lover before him. “Then I’ll go home first.”

“Well, good night.”

“Good night.”

Shen Qingshu said as he pushed open the door and got out. He stood outside and waved to Han Cheng through the open window.

Han Cheng raised his hand and waved back. He watched him turn around before leaning over and closing his window again.

He leaned back in his chair, not in a hurry to leave. He sat in the car, watching Shen Qingshu walk forward with grace, his heart filled with peace and joy.

There really was a Shen Qingshu in this world, the exact same Shen Qingshu from his dreams. So were they truly a couple in their previous life?

And now they actually met. How wonderful!

This was fate!

This was a match made in heaven!

They truly were a perfect match!

Just as he was thinking, he saw Shen Qingshu suddenly turn around and come back.
